What you can expect from us
Like everything else in life, moving into a new experience can be both exciting while, at the same time, bring up a number of questions and concerns. What we would like from you
In order to deliver on the promise of building confidence, character and community through sailing, this is what we need from you as a parent or guardian. We ask you to:

Parental Engagement
During our programs, we will offer several opportunities to experience you child's sailing skills, both directly (on the sailboat) and being able to observe first hand (from one of our safety boats). Safety Boat Opportunity During the Fall and Spring Programs, parents/guardians who register to ride on one of our safety boats can see first-hand how their kid(s) are doing with their sailing skills. If you'd like to schedule a safety boat ride, click here. Safety Boat Registration At the end of each program, you and other family members and friends will have the opportunity to sail with your students. During the Fall and Spring Programs, you will have a sign-in opportunity to ride on one of our safety boats for a specific Saturday during the program. We will announce this at the beginning of the program and give you a link to sign-up for a specific day. This is on a first come, first served basis. We also invite you to hang around on the beach where you can observe our programs in action. Finally, many of our parents become volunteers helping us out in many ways from Board presence to active sailing day volunteering. Please see the Volunteer Page for the opportunities. |
