2022 LEMON DROP REGATTA
December 10, 2022
NOTICE OF RACE​ 
Registration Open November, 2022

1   ORGANIZING AUTHORITY & LOCATION
1.1 The Regatta is organized under the authority of Englewood Sailing Association (ESA).  
         1.1The event will be sailed on Lemon Bay, adjacent to Indian Mound Park, 210 Winson Ave, Englewood, FL.                             
2    RULES
               The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
3     ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
        3.1 The Regatta will be open to the following classes: Optimist, Sunfish, Pico and RS Quest. 
        3.2 Eligible competitors will under the age of 18 at the beginning of the year.
        3.3 Entries will be accepted until December 9, 2022. 

        3.5 Entries will be made via The Regatta Network and linked to Englewoodsailing.org
4     FEES
Required fees are as follows: $50 for the Regatta. This includes racing, 1 t-shirt per competitor and refreshment. 
5    SCHEDULE
      5.1 December 11, 2021.  Check in opens at 800 hours.
      5.2 Skippers Meeting at 1000 hours.
      5.3 Warning Signal for the     first race at 1100 hours.  Additional races to follow.            
      5.4 No races will be started after 1500 hours.

6     SAILING INSTRUCTIONS The sailing instructions will be available after 12/9/2022 on The Regatta Network 
7    COURSES    The courses will be described in the Sailing Instructions  
​8    SCORING    
        8.1 The Low Point scoring system shall be used.  (Example: 1 for first place, 2 for second, etc.)
        8.2 All races shall be included. 
        8.3 One race shall constitute a Regatta
9    SUPPORT BOATS
9.1There shall be one mark/support boat and one signal boat per starting line. 
9.2 Coach boats may be enlisted as needed for additional support.  
         9.3 Coach and spectator boats shall stay clear of the racecourse as prescribed in the Sailing Instructions.  
         9.4 Coach and Support boats shall launch at the Indian Mound Boat Ramp.
10  PRIZES
        Prizes will be given as follows: First through fifth for the Regatta.
11  DISCLAIMERS OF LIABILITY
        Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race.
12           On the water spectating may be available
