Englewood Sailing Association has been teaching small boat sailing on Lemon Bay since 2002. We are an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to building confidence, character and community through sailing. Every year over 150 people from Sarasota and Charlotte counties and beyond learn to sail with us. We offer several programs each year:

Indiana Ave. Englewood - all are welcome Wednesday Adult Sailing 9 to noon January 15 is ON Be sure to renew your membership ($25) and also join Family/Adult Social Sailing ($150). Saturday Coastal Cruising is ON for January, 2025 please check your email for updates from Marie Saturday Adult and Family Social Sailing is ON for January 18 Please contact Pat by Wednesday Jan 15 if you plan to sail. 10AM to 1 PM At least six sailors need to sign up by Wednesday in order to hold social sailing on Saturday. Please plan to take a turn on a safety boat or shore crew so everyone can sail. Call 517-262-8313 or email Pat Beffel if you would like to sail on Saturday. More info about Saturday Social Sailing HERE January 11, 18, 25: Warren Spear New Year Racing Series From 12 - 3:30 PM on three Saturdays, this racing clinic will prepare our youth racing team to participate in Regattas in SW Florida. Email C.H. or call for more information the racing series. Click HERE to register ($40) Looking Ahead: Saturday February 15: Safety Boat Clinic 9 to noon, lunch provided at noon. Learn to captain, crew, and tow a safety boat. Family and Adult Social Sailing will follow the Clinic, from noon to 2PM. Contact Cathy to sign up for the Safety Boat Clinic. February and March Adult Sailing is OPEN 10AM to 2PM Adult Sailing Class is on two weekends in February 1&2, and 8&9, 2025. We also offer an Adult Sailing Class M-Th March 3-6, 2025. Register Here for February. Register here for March. Saturday Spring Youth Sailing starts March 15 Nine Saturdays from 11 to 3PM ($150 + $25 to join ESA). The last class - May 10 - is the youth coaching clinic, preparing for summer camp. Click HERE to register Spring youth sailing is only open to families who are members of ESA.
