Englewood Sailing Association is the proud owner of our 27' Catalina keelboat Slow Flight. The coastal cruising classes are made up of adults in the Fall on Saturdays. The Spring Course is for youth who have successfully completed our beginner and intermediate sailing program.
Sailors learn the basics of Coastal Cruising: how to plot a course, aids to navigation, emergency equipment, rigging the boat, launching and docking, anchoring, overboard rescue methods.
The culminating activity for the class is a 3 day/2 night cruise on a large sailboat where students plot a course and handle the boat.
The organizational meeting for Fall Coastal Cruising is Saturday September 7, 2024 at noon at the Sailing Center. The course is $150 for the Fall, sessions are agreed on at the organizational meeting. Please register here
