Englewood Sailing Association is the proud owner of our 26' Grampian keelboat Daydreamin', generously donated by Steve and Sue Rosen. The coastal cruising class is limited to four member adults in the Fall on Saturdays who are active volunteers. To learn more about ESA volunteer jobs click HERE.
The Spring Coastal Cruising Course is offered to four select youth who have successfully completed our beginner and intermediate sailing program.
Sailors learn the basics of Coastal Cruising: how to plot a course, aids to navigation, emergency equipment, rigging the boat, launching and docking, anchoring, overboard rescue methods.
The culminating activity for the class is a 3 day/2 night cruise on a large sailboat where students plot a course and handle the boat.
