YOUTH SESSIONS

Englewood Sailing Association offers a Spring Session, Summer Camp and Fall Session. Spring & Fall Sessions consist of four Saturdays.

Please check our calendar for exact dates.

These spring & fall sessions are split with beginners' classes in the morning from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Beginning classes use the Walker Bay 10's which allows a beginning sailor to sail with an instructor in the boat with them. We have 5 certified adult instructors and a number of certified junior instructors. beginners sail in the relatively shallow waters just of Indian Mound Park and are always accompanied by our chase boats (motorized inflatables and our Boston Whaler). Safety of the students is paramount.

The Intermediate classes are held in the afternoon from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM. Intermediate sailors are Red Book signed -off and
introduced to the Junior Instructor Program.

Summer Sail Camp is for beginners and Intermediates and are full day sessions from 9 AM to 4 PM.

Currently all activities are conducted at Englewood's Indian Mound Park. The park has limited facilities (rest rooms only) and so participants should bring their own beverages and lunches. Plenty of water, sunscreen and a change of clothes are a good idea. Hats and sunglasses are also a good idea. ESA has life jackets, however, participants may wish to bring their own.
