BEGINNERS CLASSESEnglewood Sailing Association offers a Spring Session, Summer Camp and Fall Session. Spring & Fall Sessions consist of four Saturdays. Please check our calendar for exact dates.
These spring & fall beginners sessions are split with youth classes in the morning and adults in the afternoon. Beginning youth classes use the Walker Bay 10's (pictured above). This allows a beginning sailor to sail with an instructor in the boat. Beginning adults will use Sunfish. Our ESA certified instructors and certified junior instructors teach beginners to sail in the relatively shallow waters just off Indian Mound Park. The safety of our students is paramount and they are always accompanied by our safety boats.
Summer Sail Camp for beginners consists of five full day
sessions All activities are conducted at Englewood's Indian Mound Park. The park has limited facilities (rest rooms only). Participants should bring their own beverages and lunches. Plenty of water, sunscreen, a change of clothes, hats and sunglasses are also a good idea. ESA has life jackets, however, participants may wish to bring their own. __________
